Wow!! This is without a doubt the best French bakery I have ever been to (including in Paris itself). The chocolate almond croissant is absolutely amazing, I can’t get enough of La Gourmandine. I have been to most of their locations around Pittsburgh and this one definitely has a slight edge over the others. It doesn’t have much seating, but eat it there, take it home, I guarantee you will not be disappointed!

The best bakery around. French cakes, pastries, baguettes, and quiche are all phenomenal. One of the things we look forward to most whenever we are back in Pittsburgh (even while living in Europe).

Absolutely amazing! We always stop by this bakery whenever we are in town. They sell a number of different products, including pastries, baguettes, cakes, and sandwiches. We got a chocolate mousse cake which was incredible!! It was sweet, creamy, and chocolatey (probably the best cake I have ever had). I also got a mini baguette which was amazing with my lunch. All of the ingredients are the best quality and baked to perfection. I would HIGHLY recommend La Gourmandine if you are in the area! Just be sure to arrive early to get the best selection.

I love their éclairs, I can't eat éclairs anywhere else in pittsburgh! They have fresh pastry everyday, they have quiche and sandwiches for lunch which are simple but very delicious. My favorites are of course éclairs, spinach&cheese quiche, croissant and cheese&turkey sandwich in a baguette bread. The location in Mt Lebanon have parking for 3 4 cars but the one in downtown doesn't have a parking spot. You will have to find street parking which is a pain in downtown to be honest so I prefer to stop by in Mt Lebanon location whenever I can.

This is, as far as I know, the second location for La Gourmandine. I was OVERJOYED that I did not have to travel to Lawrenceville any longer to re-experience Parisienne pastry and boulangerie combined. Whether or not there is a line, it is easy to see what you might like as everything is on display and I encourage you to TRY EVERYTHING. There is nothing here I do not like and I am a picky eater. This location has less space than the original and other incarnations of the establishment, however this food creates its own ambience. Whether you are searching for a pasty worthy of a cheat day, or a lovely sandwich on a chewy and wonderful baguette, or well created droolable quiche, this is the name of the place to go. I believe there are four locations now? In Pittsburgh, I have not experienced anything equal yet.

Always fresh and delicious. The quiche is particularly good. Whether we walk over or have it delivered, we've never had anything that wasn't top notch in quality or taste.

If you ever sat outside at a Paris cafe people-watching, you will love this place. Pros: everything I have tasted is just better than anywhere else around Pittsburgh, unless you compare it to La Gourmandine's downtown location haha. Their croissants are straight, meaning it is made with butter, and every type of bread I have tried tasted so good. And don't get me started on the pastries! Cons: I wish we lived closer and it was easier to get to... Summary: best bakery in Pittsburgh, without a doubt. Pro-tip: save yourself the pressure being overwhelmed by all the choices at the bakery by ordering online...

What can you say but num num num! Parking was a bit tough .. it was a small lot and they were getting a delivery of some sorts. But...As soon as you walk in you are greeted with a beautiful display of fabulousness! Transformed from PGH to France! The staff was super nice and patient as I looked over all the goodies to choose from. In the end .. selected the almond croissant (OMG! Where have you been my entire life) and a Gourmandise which I selfishly ate in the car on the drive home refusing to share .. hey don't judge. Def going back and maybe the new Xmas morning treat for the family moving forward.

So fresh and delicious! We had an almond croissant, gourmandise, and a slice of quiche Lorraine. All were outstanding!! We got a few treats for later too. The line out the door was worth the wait. The staff was friendly and gave us tips for at home reheating.
